spot a fake designer bag better than the average buyer. We
have years of experience buying and reselling designer
brands on eBay. We would like to share our knowledge of
counterfeits with consumers. According to our estimates, over
70% of the designer bags sold on the internet are knockoffs.
Before you purchase a designer item on the net, please read
the following guidelines:
Research and Education are the best ways to combat counterfeiters!
1. When shopping on the street, only buy from authorized stores. Call the corporate
headquarters, or search on the web to find store locations.·
- Stay away from house parties or individuals who claim to have relationships with designers.
99% are knockoffs!
2. If you don't want to pay full price for the product, and are looking for discontinued or "off season"
designer brands, internet and auction sites are wonderful places to shop. However, only bid on
or buy designer merchandise if you have a way of authenticating it.
3. Familiarize yourself with the product you want to buy. Research the product, know the difference
between an authentic and a fake and ask questions! If the seller doesn't take the time to answer
your questions, he/she doesn't deserve your business!
- Over 90% of the designer brands sold on yahoo auction are fakes. You probably have a better
chance of buying authentic bags on eBay. However, Louis Vuitton products are probably the
most replicated counterfeits of all. Over 90% of Louis Vuitton products on eBay are knockoffs.
